This is to give you some history on Johnson's Air Conditioning.
Johnson Plumbing co was founded in 1944 by William Johnson, under his control the company expanded
and was the largest plumbing contractor in Northwest Arkansas, they soon opened an office in Harrison
Ark. but later closed it due to employee problems.
In 1964 after having worked for their father for several years Harold and Lewis bought their father out
and continued to expand. Along the line the started installing central heating and air conditioning, as the
HVAC business grew so did the company. In 1973 the brothers purchased Fayetteville Sheetmetal
works., which is one of the oldest businesses in Fayetteville A couple of years later they built a larger
building and added Johnson Hardware. The whole complex ( Air conditioning, Plumbing, Sheetmetal, &
Hardware) was known as Johnson Center.
In 1983 the brothers decided to separate and Harold purchased the entire company from Lewis"Hot" and
the company has continued to changed since then, with new ownership & the addition of new equipment,
reliable employees, and new trucks.
In 1986 Stan & Kirby started running the mechanical side of the company, with the intentions of buying
their respective departments from Harold. In the due process of purchasing the company Stan decided
to move to a different location and operate as a separate company, which he accomplished in 1987. In
2003 Stan sold Johnson Plumbing , but kept Johnson Mechanical. They still provide commercial &
industrial plumbing installation.
Mom & Dad continue to run Johnson Hardware. The old fashioned hardware store on Leverett Street.
They have almost everything an old fashioned hardware store should have.
Also in 1987 Kirby purchased the air conditioning division from Harold, and is still providing reliable
service for all of your heating and cooling needs in all of Northwest Arkansas. We now run more service
trucks than many of the other service companies in Northwest Arkansas, and have a record of
satisfaction among our customers that is the envy of our competitors.
In addition to heating, air conditioning, ventilation, and sheetmetal we also offer a line of computerized
controls to monitor your equipment, and phone us if the equipment breaks down or just to give us a

maintenance contracts, full service contracts, air balances, and complete control systems. So

environmental control systems. We do computerized heat loss and gain studies to determine what size

5 on M-F.

wild guess, or an old rule of thumb.
-The company and all of our employee's are fully insured, so you don't have to worry about any personal

-Each service truck carries several thousand dollars worth of replacement parts, this is backed up by
over $20,000 stock at our office. We do this so we can get you up and running as fast as possible if
something should break.
-Everyone of our servicemen is a professional with factory and Vo-Tech training behind them.
-When we remove a piece of equipment from your premises we do not just throw it away. We send it to a
recycling center, where they separate out the metals and recycle all that they can. We don't do this for
the little bit of money that we make on selling the metals, because our labor to handle and store the
items is more than we make off of the sales, we do it because we care.
-All of our employees are licensed by the state.
- All of our servicemen are certified by the EPA to handle refrigerants.
-Some air conditioning companies only do service work because they have to have servicemen to install
new equipment. WE ARE COMMITTED TO SERVICE, we are very strong in all phases of the service
business and we will continue to be strong in the service business.
